Memorial Day Lantern Floating Ceremony

Every year at Magic Island in Ala Moana Beach Park, thousands of Hawaii residents and visitors attend the annual Lantern Floating Ceremony. Attendees release lighted, floating lamps to symbolize hopes and prayers in remembrance for love ones lost. Memorial Day in Hawaii is a time to extend wishes for peace and happiness to the world.
